Fire Extinguisher Training

The department is proud to offer fire extinguisher training to workplaces, School's, and other organizations inside the Fire District. The Department uses traditional live fire pans and allows trainees to practice the P.A.S.S method to extinguish a fire. All training is taught by State Certified Firefighters and a Class A fire Engine will be available during all live fire training. The organization and the community risk reducation officer will discuss time and place along with any safety questions.

Fire Station Tours

Most day's the department always welcomes anyone to stop in and visit the fire station and the crew is always happy to answer questions. If you would like to scheduled a tour or for large groups, we ask that you call ahead / or email the Community Risk Officer listed below.

Courtesy Home Fire Safety Inspections

The department  encourage’s all citizens that live inside the Fire District to schedule a home fire safety inspection. The inspection is even more important with the elderly and special needs in a hope to prevent falls, trips, or other obstacles in an emergency. During the inspection a member of the department will have a tablet device taking notes of the house layout and advise changes. The notes taking and any pictures allowed by the homeowner are stored on a secure emergency planning software called Flow MSP. In the event of an emergency the software will inform rescue crews of layout of the home, disabilities or needs of the person living at the resident and other important information. If you would like to schedule a in home safety inspection please email / call Risk Reduction Offficer

Car Seat Inspections

Car seats and boosters provide protection for infants and children in a crash, yet car crashes are a leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 13. That's why it's so important to choose and use the right car seat correctly every time your child is in the car. Here at the Dwight Fire Protection District we are happy to help make the right choose for your child and ensure you are educated on the safe install of your car seats.
